The Guelph Storm could use a little good news, and they got it Thursday.

The team announced that overage defenceman Tommy Budnick will be returning to the team after a professional tryout with the ECHL's Kalamazoo Wings. He did not dress in any of Kalamazoo's first three league games.

Last year Budnick had two goals and eight assists in 34 games with the Storm after being acquired in a trade with the Kingston Frontenacs.

The move leaves the Storm with four overage players: Budnick, Ryan McGuire, Max Namestnikov and Jake Karabela. Three can dress. McGuire is currently awaiting to hear the length of his suspension following a check to the head in a game last Friday.

The Storm, losers of seven straight and dead last in the Western Conference, play in Ottawa Friday and Kingston on Saturday.
