Less than an hour into 2025, the first baby of the year was born at Guelph General Hospital on Wednesday.
Emilia was born at 12:52 a.m., weighing in at seven pounds and five ounces, a news release states. She is the first baby for parents Jay and Holly MacCallum of Guelph.
There were more than 1,650 babies delivered at GGH last year, the release notes.
