Drawing on the expertise of accomplished local nonprofit leaders, the ‘Stronger Together’ Symposium will build on the relationships that have developed through the Executive Director Peer Group (EDPG) and will provide hands-on collaboration within the community benefit sector in Guelph and Wellington County.

The Symposium is being held on Tuesday, Jan. 30 from 8:30 a.m. - 3 p.m. at the Guelph Community Health Centre, 176 Wyndham St. N.

PIN, The People and Information Network, formerly the Volunteer Centre of Guelph-Wellington, is proud to co-host this inaugural event with the Guelph Community Foundation.

“The EDPG was formed to strengthen relationships, learn from each other and build capacity in nonprofits in our community” says Christine Oldfield, Executive Director, PIN. “The ‘Stronger Together’ Symposium is a natural extension of the success of the Executive Director Peer Group and showcases the vast knowledge and skill of senior leaders through a peer learning model.”

This day-long event will consist of concurrent sessions on relevant topics such as change management and best practices in volunteer involvement. The keynote address will be given by Bruce MacDonald, President and CEO of Imagine Canada.

Community leaders such as nonprofit Executive Directors and Managers are invited to attend the Symposium and can find a link to register at edpg.ca. Tickets are $25 and lunch will be provided.
