GuelphToday's seventh-annual Teddy Bear Caper in support of Guelph General Hospital raised $10,000 for the hospital from GuelphToday and its advertisers.
Bears cost $100 to sponsor with 100 per cent of the proceeds donated to the GGH.
The 2022 list of sponsors can be found here.
GuelphToday purchases a 14-inch teddy bear from Gund in the name of each donor and delivers them to the hospital just before Christmas so that anyone (young and old) that needs to spend time in the hospital over the holiday receives their own teddy bear.
The goal is to sell 100 Teddy Bears in our community for $100 each, with every single dollar collected being donated back to the Hospital Foundation for them to continue the good work they do.
In the spirit of strengthening our community, GuelphToday made it our mission to create meaningful, long-lasting, and positive change in Guelph and the surrounding area.
We want to recognize the individuals and organizations who are taking action to make Guelph’s future brighter and highlight extraordinary people who are actively making a difference.
But we also want to take action ourselves, harnessing our ability to make meaningful connections across our platform.
GuelphToday knows that it takes a village. That is why our team is dedicated to providing a space on GuelphToday for people to come together, give back and empower local non-profits and changemakers.
Our team is here to uplift the community, spread positivity and shed light on the stories and people that drive change.
