A golf simulator is coming to the city’s south end, thanks to a unanimous decision of council on Tuesday evening.

Council agreed to rezone the site at 585 Hanlon Creek Blvd. – a project that’s currently under construction within the Hanlon Creek Business Park – to allow the simulator business proposed by DBL CRS Sim Lounge.

The plan is to have four simulators, a reception area, office, lounge and washrooms contained within two units of the building.

While it is not to have a commercial kitchen or restaurant, a staff presentation to council noted the owner may seek a liquor licence and sell pre-packaged food.

No change to the exterior of the building is proposed, meaning it complies with the city’s official plan.

Councillors Dan Gibson, Rodrigo Goller, Phil Allt and Dominique O’Rourke were absent from the meeting.
