Guelph residents were a generous bunch this year.
According to GoFundMe, Guelph was the 11th most generous community in 2024. The online fundraising platform released a list of its top 20 communities Tuesday morning.
It noted $280 million was raised by Canadians in 2024, and one in 13 Canadian adults made donations at some point during the year.
The communities were ranked based on the number of donors per capita.
Guelph saw over 7,300 donors, for a per capita donor rate of 5.14 per cent.
Victoria, BC was the top ranked city with over 19,500 donors and a per capita rate of 21.3 per cent.
