Guelph General Hospital has an ongoing COVID-19 outbreak.
The outbreak is in the hospital’s 5 West inpatient unit, and restrictions have been applied.
The outbreak is as of July 30. It’s not known how many patients or staff members are impacted.
A confirmed outbreak is when two or more people with a common epidemiological link test positive for the virus, according to the Wellington-Dufferin-Guelph Public Health website.
You’re asked not to visit the hospital if you have COVID-19 symptoms, and any patient who is COVID-19 positive is not allowed to have visitors.
Visit the Guelph hospital website for up-to-date information on COVID-19 protocol.
