As city officials look at making improvements to local roads, they want to know what residents think about the level of safety.

That’s the inspiration behind a telephone survey being conducted on the city’s behalf by OraclePoll. Calls started Thursday and will continue through the end of the month.

As explained in a post on the city’s website, 600 households will be randomly selected to take part.

“Your participation is voluntary. All individual responses will be kept confidential and will be used for further program development only,” states the post. “The survey results will be used by city staff to assess perceptions of road safety and continue developing Vision Zero, the city’s road safety strategy.”

The survey is also available online here.
