GuelphToday received the following Letter to the Editor in regards to local drivers and intersectional traffic lights:

On Saturday, 15 June 2024, at 11 a.m., I was walking and saw a car coming off of Neeve Street. They had a red light and turned left onto Wellington Road across traffic.

They thought the bicycle's green light was for left turns. They nearly caused a six-car pile-up, and this intersection is always busy and will become more so.

The person remained unaware of why the horns blasted at them.

Sadly, with more stuff added to intersectional traffic lights, whether needed or not. It may cause more people to need driving instructions.

Hopefully, the person responsible will see this post. They will discover their mistake and its potential harm. And yes, they'd be at fault.
