HILLSBURGH — Residents will soon have a chance to weigh in on a large development proposed along Wellington Road 22.

To be discussed at a public meeting in April, Guelph-based developer Thomasfield Homes Ltd. has applied to rezone 35.5 acres on part of lot 23 on Concession 7 in the southwest part of the Hillsburgh Urban Area with frontage along Wellington Road 22.

The development is proposing 142 detached lots, 24 street townhouse units, 48 townhouse units, a park, a "Future Residential" block, a sanitary pumping station and a 10-metre-wide storm sewer easement.

A 10-metre buffer is also proposed from an adjacent woodland.

A related application has been submitted to the County of Wellington for a proposed draft plan of subdivision.

The public meeting will take place on April 10 at 3 p.m. online or in-person at Erin council chambers. More information is available here
