The twinkling lights, the festive atmosphere, the joy of giving – the Spirit of the Season in Downtown Guelph brings the community together for a magical holiday experience.

But what many may not realize is the incredible network of sponsors that makes this event possible and the important support it generates for their charitable partner.

Sponsors Make it All Possible

Barbara Turley-McIntyre, Sponsorship Co-ordinator commented that a group of returning  sponsors along with some new ones have come together to ensure another successful year. Their contributions go beyond mere financial support; it reflects a shared commitment to our downtown while fostering community spirit and creating lasting memories.

The Premier Festival Sponsor, Co-operators, along with Shining Star Sponsors Cooper, Barzotti Woodworking Ltd., Acqua, Linamar, and Toque Sponsor Conestoga College and Hut Festival Sponsors Tricar, Buon Gusto and Wood Development Group as well as a long list of additional supporters and sponsors have made the event possible.

Making a Difference beyond the Festivities

The Spirit of the Season isn't just about holiday cheer. It is also about giving back. This year, the event is proud to support Keep Kids Fed at Home Guelph of the Guelph Children’s Foundation, a local initiative that addresses a critical need.

“Keep Kids Fed at Home Guelph was chosen as our event's charity because it addresses a critical local need by ensuring children in the community have access to nutritious meals outside school hours, combating food insecurity. Supporting this charity aligns with our values of fostering community well-being and making a tangible impact on the lives of vulnerable families in Guelph,” explains Nash.

He continues, “A donation to Keep Kids Fed at Home Guelph directly impacts children by providing them with nutritious meals, reducing hunger, and ensuring they have the energy and focus needed for learning, growth, and overall well-being. It also relieves stress on families struggling with food insecurity, creating a more stable and supportive environment for these children to thrive.”
