Metro Supply Chain is hiring now until September 30 for positions on the PetSmart and Staples warehouse teams in Elora.
“These are well-paying full-time positions that start at $22.15 to $24.65 per hour,” said a spokesperson. “They are in-person positions located in Elora, Ontario.”
He added, “We are looking for candidates with experience and certification with a least one piece of the following equipment: Raymond Reach, Dock Stocker, and/or Double Walkie. Candidates must also be available to travel from July to August for training. There is a travel allowance for food and mileage.”
Reporting to the Operations Supervisor, the Forklift Operator will be responsible for a variety of warehouse tasks using an RF and various material handling equipment. The successful candidate must follow best practice processes to ensure efficiency, accuracy, and provision of quality and on-time orders for customers.

“We are looking for candidates with two years of warehouse experience, with one year’s operating material handling equipment (MHE) with a proven track record for safety,” said the spokesperson. He added, “Previous experience with RF based Warehouse Management System (WMS) or voice recognition system would be an asset.”
Interested candidates should also have at least some high school, and completion of a secondary school diploma is preferred. They should be able to lift 50 pounds, be reliable, able to walk, stand, and bend all shift, and be flexible with their schedule, able to work overtime and weekends when required.
