Brad Veldman, founder of the moving company Macho Movers, is being recognized for his outstanding work with the Influencer of the Year Award at the Canadian Association of Movers Conference.
The award is given to a young professional in the moving industry who embodies a commitment to business growth, professional excellence, and the future of the industry and community, something Veldman has been committed to since founding his company.
Starting with one small truck and a few friends in 2016, Macho Movers now has a fleet of 10 trucks and a crew of almost 40 men and women who service Guelph’s local areas and regularly complete moves all over Ontario and Canada.
While residential and commercial moves are completed daily, Veldman is always learning new techniques in the field and sharing his knowledge with his employees to allow Macho Movers to become well-known for their ability to "move it all." Whether it is hot tubs and pianos or large commercial equipment, no job has been too big or too small to be completed!
The company can continuously provide the best service possible due to the atmosphere Veldman’s encouraged, which has fostered many long-term employees — many of whom have been with the company from the start.
Eager to provide the best possible service and a comfortable environment for staff and customers, Veldman is always trying to improve what the company offers, including providing community programs with moving assistance that may typically be out of their price range and assisting with community fundraisers to help raise awareness and donations for local companies.
Macho Movers is also working towards reducing their environmental footprint by adding trucks to its fleet that are better for the environment and working with eco-friendly and reusable supplies.
In the last seven years, Veldman has worked to expand his company and make it a nationally recognized name. From starting with a small truck and a few friends to growing a successful business with a rising fleet of trucks and employees, Veldman’s commitment to the industry and community makes him a worthy recipient of the 2023 Influencer of the Year Award.
