Fall Learn to Swim program registration now open

Summer is half over, and fall is coming up quickly.

Have you been watching your kids near beaches, rivers, lakes, and pools this summer, and thinking they are ready for some swimming lessons? Luckily for you, Making Waves Swim Schools in Guelph and Milton have you and your kiddos covered, with fall swimming lesson programming.

"We have a team of dedicated coaches who are trained to provide personalized attention, ensuring that each child progresses through our small steps teaching method,” said Tiernan Murphy, founder of Making Waves Swim School.

Making Waves in Guelph has a state-of-the-art, purpose-built facility which just opened in all 2023.

“Our Guelph location was designed and built with sustainability in mind,” said Murphy. “It has lots of on-deck seating, a large and modern viewing area, a family change room with kids’ blow dry bar, and a modern and up-to-date UV water sanitation system.”

In summer 2014, the Milton location underwent a major renovation and now boasts a spacious family change room, a large modern viewing area, expanded parking lot and a state-of-the-art UV water sanitation system.

Fall learn to swim classes being offered in both Guelph and Milton include Parent and Tot (2-30 months), Little Waves (2-5 years), and Big Waves (6+ years). Registration is open now. Classes get under way September 3 and run until December 22.

“Our water is warm, our coaches are friendly, and our classes are small!” said Murphy. “At Making Waves, we not only teach children how to swim, but also instill a lifelong love for the water."
