Team Folkard are the Provincial Stick Champions

Team Folkard are the Provincial Stick Champions after curling 8 games in 4 days at the competition held March 19-22 in Bobcaygeon. After playing a round robin of 7 games, they were tied with the 2016 Champions from Humber Highland with 6 wins and 1 loss, requiring a tiebreaker. Guelph was down 1 after 7 ends & scored 2 in the eighth for the victory as Folkard made a double takeout of a rock on the front 4 foot, off center line, to a rock on the back 4 foot at other side of 4 foot center line. He hit the front rock, and stuck the shooter on the back rock to get the needed 2 points.
