Three motorists were taken off the road for stunt driving in Guelph Wednesday, including one caught going nearly three times the speed limit, Guelph police report.
Approximately 9:45 p.m. police were conducting speed enforcement near Woodlawn Road East and Golfview Road when he clocked a Toyota travelling 134 km/h in a posted 50 km/h zone. A 20-year-old Guelph woman is charged with stunt driving.
On Wednesday afternoon, police were conducting speed enforcement on Clair Road West. A 59-year-old Cambridge man and 19-year-old Georgetown man were both charged with stunt driving for travelling at least 90 km/h in a 50 km/h zone.
Each of the drivers had their licences suspended for 30 days and their vehicles impounded for 14 days. A stunt driving conviction will attract a minimum licence suspension of one year, a minimum fine of $2,000 and six demerit points.
