It is with sad hearts we announce the passing of Brian Earl Wakefield.
Brian was in his 80th year and died peacefully with his wife of 48 years Glenna by his side.
Brian is predeceased by his loving parents Tom (2007) and Phyllis (1998). Brian is remembered by his son Jeff, daughter-in-law Pam and his two granddaughters Megan and Reese. Brian is also in the hearts and minds of his Uncle Roy, many cousins, nieces and nephews as well as several Schram in-laws.
Brian loved spending time with family and had a special place in his heart for his granddaughters. Brian enjoyed model railroading and being with friends at The Legion for Friday lunches. Brian worked at Oregon Tool for over 35 years as both a millwright mechanic and supervisor. He was involved in The Navy League for close to 60 years starting as a sea cadet at the age of 12. He especially loved cooking for the cadets during their winter survival weekends. Brian’s sense of humour and kind hearted personality will ensure everyone who knew him will remember him fondly. Rest in peace CDAWG.
In lieu of flowers Brian’s family have requested donations be made in honour of Brian to St. Joseph’s Health Centre or a charity close to your hearts.
