Of Guelph, passed away peacefully at the Village of Riverside Glen with his family at his side on Tuesday, August 9, 2016, in his 92nd year. Beloved husband of 57 years to the late Maria Josepha “Mary” (nee Rees, 2006). Loved father of Nico (Heather) van der Sluis, Lida (Ena) Sikkes of Guelph and Mary (Warren) Clements of Oakville. Loving Opa of Ryan (Brandie), Melissa (Jean), Rebecca (Johan), Emma, Julia and Simon. Great Opa of Riley, Caleb, Madison, Leo, Sofia and Adriana. Dear brother of Henk and brother-in-law of Jopie. Friends will be received at the WALL-CUSTANCE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 206 Norfolk St., Guelph on Friday, August 12, 2016 from 10-12 noon. Reception will be held at noon in Wall-Custance Family Reception Centre. Graveside service at Woodlawn Memorial Park to follow. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated.
