Of Guelph, passed away peacefully at his residence on Saturday, August 26, 2017, in his 87th year.
Beloved husband and best friend of 65 years to Baukje Van Dyk. Loved father of the late Jan Van Der Kooy (2007) (Maxine), Neeltje (the late Ken) Parrish (Al Wilson), Jack Van Der Kooy, Tina (Paul) Norton, and Nico Van Der Kooy (Chris Keleher) . Loving Opa to 16 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild. Dear brother to Traus (Herman) VanRavens of The Netherlands. Also survived by sister and brother-in-law Jans and Kors Vryenhoek of Acton. Predeceased by 3 brothers and 3 sisters.
Friends will be received at the WALL-CUSTANCE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 206 Norfolk St., Guelph, Tuesday (2-4 & 7-9 pm). Funeral service will be held at the First Christian Reformed Church, 287 Water St., Guelph on Wednesday, August 30, 2017 at 11:00 am. Reception to follow in the church hall.
