Of Guelph, passed away peacefully at Hospice Wellington on Sunday, December 22, 2024, in her 83rd year.
Beloved wife of Ronald M. Traviss, having shared 56 years together; Loved mother of Lynn Reed (Dennis) and Timothy Traviss (Alicia); Loving grandmother of Dylan, Riley and Liam; Dear sister of Colleen Leis (Ronald - deceased); Predeceased by her beloved brother Donald Axford (Cheryl).
Born in Gravelbourg, Saskatchewan, Bea grew up on a farm in Stratford, Ontario, the oldest daughter of George and Florence Axford. Bea graduated from the St. Mary’s Hospital Nursing program in Kitchener and worked in various hospitals in the area. She also worked for over 20 years at the Guelph Public Library.
Bea was a very talented sewer and crafter. For many years she prepared, created and maintained the costumes for the Bethany Missionary Church’s live nativity pageant. Bea will be remembered as a kind, gentle, loving soul. No matter what she faced, her faith in the Lord gave her strength and comfort.
