It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Gwyneth Anne Howell-Thornton on July 5, 2024, at the age of 72, at Guelph General Hospital.
Gwyneth was a loving mother to Victoria and son-in-law Tommy, and a proud grandmother of Mya and Deklan. Gwyneth was the dear sister of Elizabeth, Ina-Mai, and brother-in-law Donald. Predeceased by her parents, the late Ivan and Robina Howell, Gwyneth leaves behind many beautiful nieces, nephews, and a wide circle of cherished friends.
Gwyneth had an unparalleled love for her family. Her children and grandchildren were the lights of her life. She had a passion for drawing and painting and enjoyed solving crosswords and playing trivia. Cooking for her family brought her immense joy. Above all, she loved spending time with her loved ones. Her compassion was boundless, and she saw the good in everyone. She will be dearly missed and remembered fondly by her family and all who knew her.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Gilbert MacIntyre & Son Funeral Home, 1099 Gordon St, Guelph. Private cremation has taken place. A Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 17, 2024, from 6:00-8:00pm. A Memorial Service will take place on Thursday July 18, 2024, in the funeral home at 11:00am. A reception will follow the service.
