Born in Upper Woodstock, NB on November 9, 1936 and passed away peacefully at Hospice Wellington on Friday December 15, 2023.
Cliff, beloved husband of 59 years to the late Frances Jean Doris Thomson (nee Flanagan). Loving son of the late Donald Blake Thomson and Ruby Edna Thomson (nee Sharpe). Adored father to Carol Godsell, Steven Thomson (Andrea), Leslie Rowsom (Gerry), and Blake Thomson. Cherished Grampie to Christina (Derrick), Amanda, Brendan, Tamara (Kyle), Kalina (Erin), Mitchell (Emily), Colton (Brianne), Cameron (Ella) and Stewart (Maria). Treasured Great Grampie to Sha, Barrett, Charlotte, Beau, Callum and Theo.
Pre-deceased by his siblings Marie Faye Smith and Armand Wayne Thomson. Cliff will be greatly missed by his nieces, nephews and cousins. Cliff was a loving friend to many and remembered for his many years working at Graham Fiber Glass in Erin, Sonco Steel in Brampton as well as Krone Machinery in Brampton.
Cliff was an owner and trainer with the Ontario Harness Racing Association, member of Guelph Evergreen Seniors Photography Club. Cliff was always in awe of what nature and the world outdoors had to offer.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Hospice Wellington, in Guelph, in Cliff’s memory would be appreciated by his family.
