Passed away at the Hamilton General Hospital on September 24, 2024 at the age of 71.

Pre-deceased by her parents Carl & Marjorie Ostryznik, sister-in-law Beth Ostriyznick (wife of brother Larry) and nephew Michael Ostryznik (son of brother Paul). Dear sister of Larry Ostriyzncik (the late Beth), Donna Gilbert (Doug). Robert Ostryznik and Paul Ostryznik. Loving Aunt to Monique Porcellato, Shawn Gilbert, Tina Conte, Steven Ostryznik, Adam Ostryznik and Craig Ostriyznick. Great aunt to 13 nieces and nephews. Will be greatly missed by her many cousins and extended family in the Hamilton and surrounding area.

Delores was an avid day tripper and food aficionado. She loved nothing better than to be surrounded by family, friends and delicious food. She was curious to try any new or interesting dishes and was always excited to try a new restaurant or cuisine.

Delores also loved a good deal! There wasn’t a coupon that went unclipped or a discount that she couldn’t find. She prided herself on being thrifty and could truly stretch a dollar.

Over the years, Delores enthusiastically planned her Elvis events with her fellow Elvis Ladies; Christine, Cathy, Marg, Carol, Julie, Joey, Dolly, Marisa and Marlene.

Elvis Fest will not be the same without her!

From April to November, Riverbend Park was her happy place – her true home. Delores enjoyed the monthly social activities and made many friends. Sitting on her deck on a warm summer night, enjoying the ambiance of the twinkle lights and good company, always brought a smile to her face.

Delores wouldn’t dream of missing the annual Family Picnics held at the Wilk Family Farm. Her extended family in Hamilton and beyond, were very important to her.

Special thanks to her network of close friends, and her cousin Cindy for their support during her numerous surgeries over the past 4 years.

A graveside service will be held at Marymount Cemetery, 5400 Sideroad 6 S., Guelph, on Friday, October 4, 2024 at 10:00 am. Following the service there will be a Celebration of Life held at the Italian Canadian Club of Guelph, 135 Ferguson St, Guelph from 11:30 am to 3 pm.
