It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Stefan on November 6th, 2022 at the age of 89 surrounded by his family at the Guelph General Hospital.

Beloved husband to Kazimiera (Balas) for 64 wonderful years. Loving father of Grazyna (Adam) and Jacek (Malgorzata). Cherished Dziadek to: Agnieszka (Michal), Michal (Roksana), Monique (Jamie), Patricia (Eric), Daniel (Taylor) and Michael. Adoring pra dziadek to Milana, Jakub,Mateusz, Dominic and Mason. Predeceased by his parents Wojciech and Antonina.

Stefan was born in Poland. As a child he and his family were sent to Germany to work on a farm during WWII. After the war, he returned to Poland where he would marry Kazimiera and have two children; Grazyna and Jacek. More than 40 years ago, Stefan, Kazimiera, and Jacek began their new adventure to Canada in search of better opportunities. Here, he worked as a work unit technician at Boeing Toronto until he retired. While Stefan did love fishing, gardening, and weaving captivating stories for all who would listen, he felt most at home when surrounded by family and friends. Stefan’s absence will be felt, but the memories he shared with us will not be forgotten.

Resting at Gilbert MacIntyre & Son Funeral Home, Hart Chapel, 1099 Gordon St, Guelph where friends and relatives can join the family for visitation on Friday, November 11, 2022 from 2:00pm – 4:00pm and 7:00pm – 9:00pm. A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, November 12, 2022 at 10:30am at St. Eugene De Mazenod Church, 1252 Steeles Ave. W.,Brampton. Burial to follow at Meadowvale Cemetery, 7732 Mavis Road Brampton, Ontario.

As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family. Donations can be made by cash or cheque at the funeral home or online following the link below.
