It is with sadness, that the family of William (Bill) Snook, announce his peaceful passing at Hospice Wellington, On February 5, 2025.

Bill is survived by his wife of 53 years, Patricia (Pat) Snook, his sons Michael Snook (Jacqueline McIntyre), Christopher (Stephanie) Snook, and his beloved grandsons; Cameron, Connor and Ryan. Also left to mourn are his sister Sandra (Alan) Oxley and his brother Jeffrey (Sandra) Snook. Bill was also the brother-in-law to David (Colette) Keenan, Mary Anne Keenan, Nora Kennedy (the late Raymond Kennedy and late Mark Rozad), and Dawn Keenan (Sean Puckett). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. Bill was predeceased by his mother Vernice Beatrice Sweet Snook (1991) and his father Leonard George Snook (2005).

Bill was born in Toronto, on the summer solstice of 1949, to Vernice Beatrice Sweet Snook and Leonard George Snook, the middle of three children. Bill grew up in Toronto and Richmond Hill. After high school, he attended the University of Toronto, where he graduated in Mechanical Engineering and met his future wife, Patricia.

Bill worked as a professional engineer for 44 years at GE, Westinghouse, ABB, and returned to GE for 10 years prior to retirement. During his professional career, Bill traveled extensively throughout North America, Brazil, Norway, Sweden, Germany, Switzerland, and Belgium. Bill retired in 2014, and in the last year, he became ill with Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis.

Friends and relatives are invited to Gilbert MacIntyre & Son Funeral Home – Hart Chapel (1099 Gordon St. Guelph) on Friday, April 11 from 12 – 1 pm with a Memorial Service following in the Funeral Home Chapel at 1:00 pm. Cremation has taken place.
