Mary Lou passed away peacefully at Hospice Wellington on Saturday, June 22nd, 2024 at the age of 89 years.
Mary Lou was the loving wife of the late Bill (William) Shortt. Beloved mother of Lynn (Paul) Wilmer, and the late Debra Fischer (Randy). Cherished grandmother of Carrie (Sean) Spencer, Nick (Sophie) Wilmer, Katie (Shawn) Belisle, Mike (Sony) Wilmer, Sarah (David Bocking) Wilmer and Great Grandmother of Sutton, Cala, Siena, Francis, Grace, Avani, Joseph, Ryan, Niam, Elowyn, Henry and Forrest. Predeceased by her brother John Jackson. Survived by her sister-in-law Margie Shortt.
Mary Lou worked at Guelph City Hall for many years and had many wonderful friends that she enjoyed spending time with throughout the years.
Funeral arrangements entrusted to Gilbert MacIntyre and Son Funeral Home, Hart Chapel, 1099 Gordon Street, Guelph (519-821-5077). As per Mary Lou's wishes there will be no formal funeral services. There will be a private family interment and gathering.
