SEBASTIAN, Catherine

It is with sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Catherine Sebastian on August 2, 2024 at Grand River Hospital with her family by her side at the age of 68.

Loving mother to Matthew (Jessica) and David (Amanda Young). Proud grandmother to Merissa-Lynn , Caleb, Connor, Cash, and Cruz. Cherished sister to Jan Hill. Predeceased by her parents Clare and Gwen Cressman. She will be dearly missed by her nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and all her extended family.

Cathy was a strong and resilient woman who endured many challenges throughout her life with grace and dignity. Known for her caring and selfless nature, Cathy was a beloved "second mother" to many of her son's friends, always extending her warmth and support to those around her. She had a passion for cooking and in her earlier years, delighted in taking on small catering jobs.

Cathy was a devoted Christian, her faith a cornerstone of her life. This strong relationship with God was instilled in her at a young age by her parents, and it sustained her through life's trials and triumphs.

In her later years, Cathy's greatest joy came from spending time with her grandchildren. She cherished these moments, finding immense happiness and fulfillment in their presence.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Grace for helping her get to so many doctors' appointments over the years.

Resting at Memory Gardens Funeral Home, 2723 Victoria St. N., Breslau, where the family invites friends and relatives for a visitation on Wednesday, August 7, 2024 from 11:00am-1:00pm followed by a Funeral Service beginning at 1:00pm. Cremation is to follow.
