SCHENKEL, Brenda

She passed away on March 20, 2023 at Nithview LTC in New Hamburg, ON at the age of 77. 

She was the loving mother to Josh Schenkel (Nikki) and Mike Schenkel (Caley). Brenda was a proud and caring grandmother to Ethan, Zachary, Emma Claire, Noah and Kai. She will be greatly missed by her siblings Dave (Marg) and Peter (Tracy). She was predeceased by her parents Wallace and Mary Ida Nelson, and brothers Al and Gord. 

Brenda was a proud member of the Ontario Nurses Association, Easter Seals, and Rotary Club. She was a country music lover, enjoyed spending time in her garden and taking care of her family with home-cooking. 

Thank you to all the medical staff that worked with her over the past 3 years for the exceptional care she received. 

Per Brenda’s wishes, cremation has taken place and private gathering will be held at a later time. Arrangements entrusted to Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467.
