In Loving Memory of Robert James Scheide
July 27th, 1954 - August 24th, 2024
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Robert James Scheide, age 70. He passed peacefully with family at his side.
Rob will be missed by many and leaves a big hole in the hearts of his family and friends: his sons Alex and Ethan, his partner Erica, his brothers David and Armand, and Annie; mother to his children.
Rob loved the quiet and serenity of the countryside, where he lived for a good part of his life. Just as much, he loved to sit in his front yard on Charles Street, greeting friends and neighbours as they passed by; often stopping to say “hello”. With an affinity for music Rob would also connect with friends and family, playing his collection of guitars or sharing songs from his library of albums.
Rob would spend as much time outdoors as possible. He loved to camp, hike, fish and take friends and family to the beach as often as the weather allowed. He loved nature and would pride himself on identifying local flora and fauna, and teaching those around him; he taught his sons how to fish, and what plants to eat. Rob enjoyed being a mentor and after many careers, everyone who knew him would say he enjoyed his work as an Educational Assistant the most. Helping those find their way in life was a labour of love for Rob.
We welcome family and friends to join us in celebrating a life well lived. Share stories, memories, and laughs as Rob would have loved.

12:00 noon - 2:00 pm on Sunday, September 8, 2024 - Memorial Visitation and social (laughter, food, stories, etc) followed by a Memorial Service at 2 pm with open mic to anyone who would like to share their thoughts.
