Daniel R. Rose, 80, of Toronto, Ontario, died peacefully on September 20, 2024. Born on August 13, 1944, he was predeceased by his parents Florinda (née Grassi) and Daniel Rose of Rouyn-Noranda, Québec and by his brothers James Thomas Rose of Rouyn-Noranda, Québec and John Lawrence Rose of Toronto, Ontario. Daniel grew up in Noranda and attended Noranda High School and the Sarah B. Criag Business College and spent over 20 years working for Petro-Canada. Once retired, he travelled the trans-Canada rail and volunteered in organizations serving the elderly. He is survived by his sister-in-law, Joyce Rose ( née Doughan) and his two nieces and their families; Deidre Rose and Gregory Cameron of Guelph, Ontario, and Daphne Rose-Jevremov, Zoran Jevremov and their daughters Ondine Jevremov and Talula Jevremov of Brooklyn, New York who are all grateful to the Palliative Care Unit at the Cortellucci Vaughan Hospital in Vaughan, Ontario for the generous care provided to Daniel in his final days. A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
