With heavy hearts we announce passing of Patricia (Ann) Rorke on Wednesday July 17, 2024. Ann passed away peacefully, on her 88th birthday.
Predeceased by her beloved husband, Harold Williams. She was the loving mother of Kathleen Rorke (Barry Barrett), Julie Hartman (Tim) and Jill Williams. Proud and loving Nanny to Emma and William, Christopher and Jeffrey, Jessica, Matthew and Katie. Ann will be remembered by many friends and her dear sister Valerie Forrest, along with many nieces and nephews of whom all reside in England.
Ann was born on July 17, 1936 in Smethwick, England and moved to Vancouver in 1965 where she had a long, successful career with TD Bank. In 2001, Ann and Harold moved to Guelph to help raise their grandchildren. Ann’s greatest treasure in life was being a Nanny to her grandchildren. She was deeply involved in her grandchildren’s lives and was known amongst the community to many as ‘Nanny’. Ann was an incredible woman who had a love for swimming, going to the beach and volunteering with her church. She was a beautiful person inside and out and her smile could light up any room. We will always remember her kind heart and great sense of humour. Ann will be dearly missed by so many and has left a huge void in ours lives, but we find comfort knowing that she is now reunited with Harold. We will love you and miss you, forever.
As per Ann’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Funeral service will be held at WALL-CUSTANCE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 206 Norfolk St., Guelph on Saturday, October 5, 2024 at 11:00 am. Reception to follow in the Wall-Custance Family Reception Centre.
