Oct 1, 1960 – July 5, 2024

We are heartbroken to share the news that we have lost Scott – husband, father, son, brother, uncle and friend. He died suddenly after suffering a heart attack at work.

Scott is fiercely mourned and lovingly remembered by many. Husband to Yetzi, proud dad to Ana Sophya (12) and Samantha (10). He was the youngest son of Marilyn Murray and the late Doug Robinson (1994), and son-in-law of Margarita Maria Pavon and Jose Luis Rodriguez Rosae. Brother to Marnie, Pete (Alison), Heather (Ron) and Jane. Easy going uncle to Rob (Dana), Doug, Kathryn (Tristan), Amy (Alex), Dan (Susie), Sam (Ellen), Ben (Liz), Josh (Maddie), Regina and Natalia. Brother-in-law to Gabriela DelPozo (Raul) and Luis Miguel Rodriguez.

Scott married Yetzi – the love of his life – in 2011 in a beautiful gathering with family and friends in her native Puebla, Mexico. Together they created a wonderful life and loving family. Being a dad was one of his greatest joys and he was thrilled to be funny, silly and a big softie to his beautiful daughters.

Born in Toronto, Scott was the second youngest of a fine brood. The Robinson family moved to a farm in Puslinch Township filled with golden retrievers, maple syrup and beef cattle where they shared their home and hospitality with friends and family.

Always a happy guy, Scott discovered a love of great food, fine wine and impeccable service from an early age. The world of hospitality was deeply embedded in his DNA. From his first job as a bus boy at 12 to managing food and beverage services at various Toronto hotels, Scott moved to Calgary and was part of the Great Events catering team for more than 25 years. He was well known for his hospitality and his grace under fire.

As we all try to imagine a world without him, please raise a glass with a smile to remember and celebrate our Scott.

A Go Fund Me page has been set up to support Yetzi and her girls at https://gofund.me/357948da
