April 5, 1949 – August 8, 2024

Lucia Marie Robertson (Lucy, "Baby Lou") of Guelph, Ontario, has passed away on August 8, 2024, in her 76th year, after a brief battle with cancer.

She was born on April 5th, 1949, in Espanola, Ontario, to Reginald (d. 1980) and Laura Beaudry (d. 2002), part of a huge Northern Ontario French-Canadian family.

Her cheerful outlook, bright smile, sense of humour and vibrant personality radiated brightly everywhere she went. She was a dedicated mother and grandmother who valued quality time with family. She cherished her chosen role as wife and homemaker. She wore many hats, graduating from Marvel Beauty School (hairdressing), Hamilton, in 1976, worked in the retail and restaurant industries, and also worked for a dry-cleaning business whose clientele grew immensely because of her shining personality.  She loved to cook and enjoyed hosting gatherings and being a part of every celebration. Christmas, Thanksgiving and Easter were always full of her love and laughter. Lucy's deviled eggs, home-made butter-tarts and Christmas Eve tourtières are legendary. Family and friends were her whole world. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Lucy is survived by her son Rick Goebel (Kim) of London, grandchildren Rachelle, Erika and Shauna, brothers Wayne Beaudry (Debbie) of Burlington, Robert Beaudry (Betty) of Hamilton, and Ray Beaudry (Leslie) of Washago, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members and dear friends. She is predeceased by her husband Craig Robertson (2021), her son Cory Goebel (2018), her brother Reg Beaudry (1997) and her sister Patricia Jeppesen (2004).

Cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will take place Saturday, September 14, 2024, in Burlington, Ontario.

The family wishes to extend their gratitude to St. Joseph's Health Centre for their diligent care. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Joseph's Health Centre Foundation, Guelph, in Lucia Robertson's memory.
