It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Renato on Friday, April 14, 2023 at home in the loving arms of his wife, at the age of 83 years. Beloved husband of Mariarosa (nee Visentin) for 56 years. Dear son of the late Maria and Giacomo Roberti. Proud and supportive father of Dana (Michael Hutchinson), Loris, and Steven (Piri). Treasured Nonno of Kristina (Victor Cecchini), Ryan, Lucas (Nicole Zimmer), Navena, and Ava. Cherished Bisnonno to Matteo and Angelo. Predeceased by his siblings Giovanni, Bertilla and Sergio. Dear Brother-in-law of Gino and Celia Visentin, Luciana Gatto and the late Guido Gatto, Salvatore and Malvia Furlan, Erminio and Luigina Pivato, and their families. He will be fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews and extended family in Canada and in Italy.
Renato was born on April 21, 1939 in Vedelago, Italy and immigrated to Canada in 1960. He deeply instilled his strong Italian heritage and traditions into his children. He took great pride in his family and their beautiful home. Renato began his career at the age of 9 as a carpenter. His craftsmanship can be found around the community and in family and friends' homes. Renato had a big heart and would do anything for his family and friends whom he loved so deeply. He took great pride in the property and the family home that he built. He kept busy with hobbies and proudly taught his children and grandchildren how to continue family traditions. Renato was always determined to help and there wasn’t anything he couldn’t create or accomplish. We are forever grateful for his kindness and love.
