RICCI, Luigi (Gino)

Passed away at the Elliott Community Guelph on November 21, 2017. Luigi was born in Chieti, Abruzzo, Italy on July 2, 1933. He was the beloved husband of Lina Ricci (nee Di Muzio) for 58 years. Luigi was the loving father of Claudio (Adriana), Sandra (Brent Hackett), Frank (Phyllis), and John (Bridget). He was the cherished grandfather of Alex (Monika), Laura (Rory), Alycia (Geoff), Jason (Alli), Thomas, Karlina, Talia (Gage), Gabriel, Matteo, and Alexander and step grandfather of Gisella (Anthony), Gianni (Megs), Guillermo (Nikole), Mateo (Stephanie). Great grandfather of Austin. He was the dear brother of Nicola (Maria) and Guilia (late Guido), both of Guelph, and many relatives in Italy. He will be deeply missed by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Elvira and Leondino Ricci. 

Friends will be received at Gilbert MacIntyre and Son Funeral Home, 1099 Gordon Street, Guelph, on Friday, November 24, 2017 from 2-4, and 7-9 p.m. with vigil prayers taking place at 8:15 p.m. A funeral mass will be held for Luigi at St. Joseph’s Church, on Saturday, November 25, 2017 at 10 a.m. Entombment to follow at Our Lady Immaculate Mausoleum, Marymount Cemetery.
