It is with great sadness that our family announces the passing of Dr. Vladimir Rasper. Vladimir left us peacefully, on Sunday, April 16, 2017, at the age of 87.
Vladimir was an honest, witty, fiercely intelligent and caring man, who loved learning, music, drama, baking and traveling the world. He was a friend and mentor to many and truly cherished those relationships. Above all though, Vladimir was a loving and generous husband, father and grandfather. He will be greatly missed by his wife and best friend, Jarka, his son and daughter-in-law, Vlad and Sophie, his granddaughters, Katie and Alex, and his daughter and son-in-law, Dita and Bram. His loss will also be felt back in his beloved Prague. The family is grateful to the many friends and neighbours who provided comfort and support through this difficult time.
A service for Vladimir will be held at Gilbert MacIntyre & Son, Hart Chapel (1099 Gordon St., Guelph) on Friday, April the 21st at 11:00 a.m. The family has asked that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the charity of ones choice.
