It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Francesco Camillo Piccoli on April 2, 2024, in his 92nd year surrounded by his family.
Devoted husband to Iolanda (nee Fantini). He is predeceased by his parents Antonio and Luisa Piccoli. Loving father of Sandra, Diana and Barbara (Mike).
A loving, proud and devoted nonno to Rachael (Mike), Lauren (Scott), Mya, Nicholas, Lucas, and Ryan. He loved his grandchildren dearly and wanted the best in life for them.
Dear brother of Giuseppina, Ida (Giuseppe), Dora, Lionello (Maria), George (Lucia), Maria (Orino) and Camillo (Filomena).
Dear brother-in-law to the late Angelino (Menina) and Domenico (Lidia) as well as Maria (Carmine), Nella (Vincenzo), Carlo (Giuseppina) and Mario (Maria).
Dear uncle to many nieces and nephews who he held dear in his heart.
Francesco was born on May 17, 1932, in Torricella Peligna, Chieti, Italy. He came to Canada on June 7, 1957; arriving in Halifax and then travelling to British Columbia to work on the Canadian National Railway. In June 1958 he came to Guelph, Ontario; and returned to Italy in 1960 to marry his wife Iolanda of 64 years. They returned to Guelph, Ontario where they sponsored brothers, sisters, and friends to Canada. Francesco and Iolanda created a loving and beautiful family. Francesco was a true patriarch; a hardworking, devoted and proud man who was trusted and relied upon by family and friends alike. He enjoyed socializing, home cooked meals, singing, dancing, playing scopa and sharing stories of his life in Italy. He will be missed.
We hope he is having a good time in heaven with all his friends and family who have predeceased him.

The visitation shall be at Gilbert MacIntyre & Son Hart Chapel 1099 Gordon Street, Guelph, Ontario on Friday April 5, 2024, from 2:00 p.m. – 4 :00 p.m. & 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. The funeral shall be held at Sacred Heart Church 98 Alice Street, Guelph, Ontario on Saturday April 6, 2024, at 10:00 a.m.
