PEMBLETON, Kathleen (Kate) Elizabeth (nee Biggs)

Passed away peacefully on Friday July 19, 2024, in her 85th year in Guelph surrounded by her family.  Kathleen was the much loved wife of the late Donald Pembleton and dear mother to Randy (Dawn), Tracy (Jeff) and Russell (Laurie).

Cherished Grandmother of Corey (Marie-Pierre), Ryan (Alyssa), Scott (Lana), Jamie (Josh) and Andy.  Kate was also a special Grandma to 8 great-grandchildren Logan, Zoe, Lukas, Grayson, Ava, Lyla, Lincoln, Lily.  She was also like a Grandma to a great-nephew Brayden and great-niece Summer.

Kathleen was predeceased by her brothers Stan Biggs (Lil) and George Biggs.  She is survived by her brother Lionel.

Kathleen was a hard working lady over the years at Biltmore Hats, Omark and Sears.  She also volunteered for over 20 years at the seniors center in Guelph.

Kathleen enjoyed time spent with her Grandchildren when the were growing up as well as her great grandchildren.  She loved the beach and really enjoyed the time that she lived at Sauble Beach with her husband Don.  Kathleen made many long lasting friendships while living at Sauble Beach and her time in Guelph.  She was very Close to Darlene Pembleton, Teresa Pembleton and Barb Griffenham.  They had many adventures together in Canada and abroad that mom cherished.  

We would also like to give special thanks to the nurses and staff at Riverside Glen long term care home in Guelph.  They did an outstanding job looking after our mom in the short time that she was there.

Service to be held at WALL-CUSTANCE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 206 Norfolk St., Guelph, on Saturday, July 27th at 11 am, with visitation one hour prior to the service. Followed by refreshments and a sharing of memories in the Wall-Custance Family Reception Centre.  Arrangements entrusted to the WALL-CUSTANCE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL 519-822-0051 / www.wallcustance.com.

Please donate to The Canadian Cancer society or Alzheimer’s society in lieu of flowers.

A tree will be planted in memory of Kathleen (Kate) E. Pembleton in the Wall-Custance Memorial Forest.
