Charmaine Eugenie Garnault Nolte (nee Wilmot, nee Agassiz)
January 30, 1936 - January 21, 2025
It is with great sadness we announce the passing of mum just 9 days before her 89th Birthday. Survived by her children, Sheila Wilmot (Maarten) and Sean Wilmot (Kris) and her three grandchildren, Clara, Cassidy and Alex Wilmot.
She took great pride in finishing her university degree while raising two children on her own. After a 30-year teaching career that took her from various schools in Toronto to W Ross Macdonald School for the Blind in Brantford and finally at the Milton correctional facility; she retired and travelled extensively with her husband Ben (2012). Europe, Australia, New Zealand and Hawaii to name a few of their destinations, she enjoyed them all.
We want to thank the staff at Freeport Campus Grand River Hospital for their wonderful care the last few months.
She was an incredibly proud Mother and Grandmother; always there to support her grand children in school or any of their interests. Always an avid reader with a sharp wit, happy to stop and chat with anyone she met. I know mom would have wanted us to have a Crown Royal on the rocks and share a toast to a life very well lived.
