We regret to announce the passing of Helen Delavina Nisbet, (Power) RR4 Rockwood, Ontario, formerly of Guelph on February 1, 2025 at the Guelph General Hospital.
Born in Alder Point, Cape Breton on March 12, 1940, she was the daughter of the late Peter and Sarah (Dugas) Power. Dela was one of fourteen children.
Dela was predeceased by her husband Abraham Laird Nisbet (2001) and son Eoin (2024).
She is survived by her son Brian, daughters Kimberly Gauvreau (Mike) and Mary Jane Watson (John) and sister Laura Jane Cathcart. Also survived by sisters-in-law Venita Power and Geraldine Power.
Also left to mourn are her grandchildren, Christopher Gauvreau, Sheena Gauvreau, Chrisondra Watson, Nicoal Watson, Melissa Watson and Richard Watson and five great grandchildren.
Dela was also predeceased by brothers Joseph, Jim, Charles, Peter, Wensley, Donnie and Murdock and sisters Delavina (1939), Catherine, Robina, June and Rhoda.
