1937 – 2025
Peacefully passed away surrounded by family at Norfolk General Hospital on March 2, 2025 in his 88th year.
Beloved and devoted husband of Shirley and cherished father of Alan (Diane) and Laura (Carlo). Survived by his grandsons’ Tyler, Jaiden, Madden, and by his loving nieces and nephew. Predeceased by his brother Jim (2012).
Larry was born on April 3, 1937 in Kitchener, ON and moved soon after to Blair, ON where his family owned and operated the general store and post office. He joined the Scout House Bugle Band from 1955 to 1957. Right after graduation from the Ford Trade School in Windsor, ON Larry started working at Imperial Tobacco as a Foreperson in the Electrical department until his retirement in 1997.
Larry enjoyed golfing, curling, photography, travelling, puttering in his gardens and spending time with his family and friends. Larry’s kindness, generosity and love for his family and friends will remain in the hearts of all those who knew him.
Those wishing to pay their respects may do so at the Brombal Funeral Home, 1 Delhi St. Guelph ON on Saturday, March 8, 2025. Visitation will be held at 1PM followed by a funeral service at 2PM and luncheon immediately afterwards.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
