Passed away peacefully holding his daughter’s hand, on Friday, August 30, 2024, at Guelph General Hospital, just shy of his 90th birthday.
Loving husband of Jacqueline Kay McCutcheon (Wideman) for 67 years. Beloved father of Catherine (Victor Orzech). Cherished grandfather of Jacob.
Sadly missed by his sister Shirley Bentley (Lorne 2018), brother Ken and sister-in-law Lynne, Earl was predeceased by his parents Bill and Eva McCutcheon. Fondly remembered by many relatives and friends.
Earl was a country boy at heart and was so proud of being raised on the family farm on the 6th Concession of Eramosa Township (Brucedale). His upbringing instilled in him a dedicated work ethic that Earl carried throughout his lifetime.
Earl was in the x-ray business 67 years, owning his own company for more than 56 of those years. He was highly respected by all those he served and loved what he did. He was a committed board member at Riverside Residence On The Park for over 10 years.
A life so beautifully lived deserves to be beautifully remembered. A celebration of Earl’s life will be held at WALL-CUSTANCE FUNERAL HOME, 206 Norfolk St., Guelph on Sunday, September 29, 2024 at 1:30 pm. Reception to follow in the Wall-Custance Family Reception Centre.
