Margaret Joan Marshall passed away peacefully in Hospice
Wellington on Thursday, March 7, 2019 after a long battle with leukemia.
Joan was in her 82nd year. She worked at General Electric as
Receptionist/Switchboard operator for 16 years. From there she went to
work with her Father and Brothers as Bookkeeper in the construction and
pool industry for the balance of her career.
She is predeceased by her parents Everett (Sonny) and Ethel Marshall and
brothers James of Aqua Mar Pools and wife Sandra Marshall, Ron Marshall
of Marshall Const. Ltd. Leaving behind loving sisters Sharon McMillan
(Melvin McMullin) and Christine Rosenow and sister-in-law Bonnie Marshall
(Ron). Joan was the loving Auntie to Matley (Tara) Rosenow and their
children Micayla, Madison, Maci and Matley Jr. She is survived by nieces
and nephews Lynn, David, Tracey, Todd and Travis and several great nieces
and nephews.
The family would like to thank her family doctor, Dr. Rosebush and Dr.
Harvey and the nurses and staff of 4th floor General Hospital and the
Bayshore Nurses who attended to her wounds at home. They would also like
to thank Dr. Spadafora and the staff of Hospice Wellington for the
wonderful care they gave to her. Special thanks go out to Matley and Tara
Rosenow and Lynn Poore for all their help!
Friends are invited to meet with the family at Gilbert MacIntyre and Son
Funeral Home, Hart Chapel, 1099 Gordon Street. Visitation will occur on
Thursday, March 14th, 2019 from 2-4p.m. and 7-9p.m. Service will occur
Friday, March 15th, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. As expressions of sympathy,
donations to Hospice Wellington and Canadian Cancer Society would be
appreciated by the family.
