LUPO, Frank

Passed away peacefully, with his family by his side, at St. Joseph’s Health Centre Guelph on Sunday, November 15, 2020. Frank Lupo age 85 years, was the beloved husband of Ida (Lombardo) Lupo for 58 years. He was the loving father of Gino Lupo and his wife Val, Maria Zicarelli and her husband Massimo and Rosa Lupo and her husband David. Frank was the proud Nonno of Grace (Mark), Daniela (John), Frank, Stefano, Isabella, Isaac and Joshua and Bisnonno of Benjamin. He was the dear brother of Salvatore, Benita and Rosanna. He is survived by many loving brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law nieces and nephews.

Frank immigrated to Canada from Italy in 1961. During his time in Canada he lived in Toronto until 1975 when he moved to Guelph. He owned and operated Elite Shoe Repair on Waterloo Avenue for over 40 years. Frank loved to travel, dance, and laugh with family and friends. He was always the life of the party.

Resting at the Gilbert MacIntyre & Son Funeral Home, Hart Chapel, 1099 Gordon St., Guelph, where the family will receive their family and friends on Thursday, November 19, 2020 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Please RSVP a time on the funeral home website or by calling the funeral home 519-821-5077. Masks must be worn and social distancing protocols must be followed. A Vigil for Frank will be held at the funeral home at 7 p.m. A Funeral Mass will take place at the Basilica of Our Lady 28 Norfolk St., Guelph on Friday, November 20, 2020 at 10:30 a.m. Private entombment in Our Lady Immaculate Mausoleum, Marymount Cemetery, Guelph. As expressions of sympathy, donations to St. Joseph’s Health Centre Foundation or to the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated by the family.
