July 30, 1963 - August 17, 2024
Passed away suddenly at home in Guelph on August 17th, 2024 at the age of 61. He was the dedicated husband of almost 34 years to Marieke Lemckert. Marc was a proud father. He will always be loved and remembered by his daughters Anneke Shillingford (nee Lauzon) (Brendan) of Pickering and Corrina Lauzon (Stephan Kissoon) of Guelph. Survived by his mother Florence Lauzon of Cornwall, his brother Michel Lauzon (Debbie) of Long Sault, his sister Anne Markhauser (Erik) of Orleans, and his many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Predeceased by his father Kenneth Lauzon of Cornwall.
Marc worked for various employers, through which he was fortunate to have travelled to many places and met many special coworkers, customers and people who he admired. He was always proud of all he accomplished throughout his career. In his retirement he explored looking for new pursuits and reinvigorated his love for music particularly the bass, gardening in his backyard, and bike riding. Marc was always a sports fan and enjoyed watching baseball (Blue Jays), hockey (Montreal Canadiens) and much more. Marc will be deeply missed by his family.
He left this world quietly and peacefully, as was his way. Cremation has taken place and there will be no formal services.
