Born December 10, 1934, Lomer passed away on October 21, 2024 at Hospice Wellington in his 90th year.
In celebration of a life well lived, we remember Lomer Lauzon. Lomer was born into a large French-Canadian family and raised on a farm in Sudbury.
Lomer was a Master Electrician and practiced in Sudbury, Orilla, Windsor and Guelph over his 60+ year career. When he wasn't tinkering for self enjoyment, Lomer was teaching his friends privately and students formally at Conestoga and St. Clair Colleges.
Far more important to him than work was his family.
He is survived by his wife Dorothy, the love of his life for 67 years. Lomer was a loving father to Veronica (Brian), Richard (Christine), Andre (Heather), Marie and Janice (Colin) and treasured his 35 grandchildren/great grandchildren.
Lomer’s faith was an important facet of his life. He was a devoted Catholic, Eucheristic Minister and sang in the church choir for decades. He was a generous and selfless man and believed in ‘paying it forward” even before it was made popular to do so. He showered his friends and family with appreciation, patience, love and graciousness daily.
A heartfelt thank you to the Guelph General Hospital, St. Joseph’s Parish and Hospice Wellington.
Funeral service will be held St. Joseph’s Church, 409 Paisley Rd., Guelph on Wednesday November 6 at 1 p.m.
