At The Village of Riverside Glen in Guelph on Wednesday, June 14, 2017. Ghislaine Mary Ange Lamontagne passed away in her 74th year, was predeceased by her husband Emilien Lamontagne. She was the loving mother of Regean (Reg) Lamontagne of Mississauga, Sylviane Lamontagne and her partner Réjean of Ste Justine, Quebec, Lauriane Hutchings and her husband Frank of Guelph and the late Linda (1987). Ghislaine was the proud grandmother of Amie, Guillaume, Stephanie, and Austin, and great grandmother of Viktoria-Ann and Olivier. Predeceased by grandchild Joshua. She was the dear sister of Ḗmile Blanchette and his wife Honoride, Lucia Blanchette and her late husband Fernand, Margaret Blanchette and her late husband Lionel, Liliane Blanchette and her late husband Maurice, the late Henri (Cécile), the late Valère and his late wife Claudette, the late Alice Fournier (Alphonse), the late Irène Blanchette (Claude), and the late Camille Blanchette (Lorna). She was the dear sister in law of Jean-Noël Lamontagne and his wife Fleurette of St Bernard, Quebec, and the late Reál, Guy, Germain, Loussette, Lucia, and Jean Charles. Survived by many nieces and nephews and many friends. Ghislaine was a stay at home mother for many years, later worked in a restaurant but most enjoyed working at Eatons Warehouse in Toronto. Taking care of her grandchildren was the most beloved times in her life after her working career. Ghislaine was a longtime member of the Daughters of Isabella. We would sincerely like to thank all of the staff members at Riverside Glen for the years of support, precious care and love for our mother Ghislaine and our family during the last days before her passing. Family and friends are welcome to Gilbert MacIntyre and Son Funeral Home, Hart Chapel, 1099 Gordon Street, Guelph on Sunday, June 18, 2017 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A vigil for Ghislaine will take place at the funeral home on Sunday, June 19 at 3:30 p.m. A funeral mass will be held at the Basilica of our Lady on Monday, June 19, 2017 at 10 a.m followed by interment at Marymount Cemetery, Guelph. As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Society, or to the Canadian Cancer Society.
