Passed away peacefully at his home in his 84th year. Much loved by family and friends, he was predeceased by his wife Barbara in 2006. He leaves behind his brothers Gerhard and Werner, his sisters Christa and Jutta, many nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, two great-grandnieces, step-children, and step-grandchildren. Guenter immigrated to Canada as a young man and was employed for several years at the Budd Automotive plant in Kitchener before he launched his own window sales and installation business in Guelph. In their late 60s, Guenter and Barbara travelled across Canada together and camped in tents along the way before they finally decided to make good on their dream and purchase a motorized camper. Guenter will be remembered for his kindness, helpfulness, generosity, great sense of humour and genuine interest in people. He enjoyed gardening, photography, baking and travelling. A private family interment will take place at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Guelph.
