It is with great sadness we share the passing of Sharon Elizabeth Kerr, age 79, of Harriston, ON. She passed away peacefully on September 11, 2024. Sharon was born and raised in Guelph, ON but resided in Harriston, ON before returning to Guelph for a short stay in Hospice Wellington where she passed away.

Loving daughter, sister, aunt, mother, grandmother, and cherished friend. She will be greatly missed by her surviving three children, Paul Kerr, David Kerr and Colleen Kerr, grandchildren Jordan Contini, Jacob Kerr, Cameron Kerr and Kaitlynn Kent, nieces, as well as extended family and friends of many years. She was preceded in death by her mother Doris Harris and Reginald Harris, brothers Paul Harris and William Harris, who will forever be in her heart.

She had an incredible gift of independence and a deep love for animals and nature, specifically birds and blue jays. Sharon will be remembered for her humor and fierce personality. Sharon had a deep passion and love for hiking, playing baseball and umpiring.

Sharon was so much more than what has been mentioned, but she was never alone. Her presence will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

The family wishes to extend their gratitude to Hospice Wellington for providing immaculate, dignified and incredible care to Sharon during her short stay there. The family would like to extend their warm thank you to Kim, the coordinator at Waterloo-Wellington Community Care Access Centre (CCAC) and to the PSWs and nurses that provided home care to Sharon.

A graveside service to celebrate Sharon’s life will be held on September 17th at 2:30pm at Woodlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Guelph.  Arrangements entrusted to the WALL-CUSTANCE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL 519-822-0051 / www.wallcustance.com.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to your local Humane Society and/or Hospice Wellington in her memory.

A tree will be planted in memory of Sharon E. Kerr in the Wall-Custance Memorial Forest.
