At Hospice Wellington on May 14th, 2018 in her 71st year.
Ann was the wife and loving partner of Tom Kane for 46 years and the mother of Brandon (Kimberly) and Lesley (Krishmin Rai). She is survived by her sister Peg (Joe Melanson) of Riverview, NB and brother Tom (Katie) of Owen Sound. Predeceased by her brother Bill and parents Grant and Betty Gillespie.
Ann was a devoted wife, mother and friend with a passion for her home, garden, knitting, painting, golfing and making new friends or keeping old ones, whether from her hometown of Owen Sound or her new home in Guelph.
As per her wishes, a private cremation has taken place. A celebration of Ann’s life will take place at the Arboretum, University of Guelph on Friday, June 1st. Family and friends are welcome to stop in between 2 – 4 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations to Hospice Wellington in Guelph, the Mark Preece Family House in Hamilton or a charity of choice would be appreciated.

A tree will be planted in memory of Ann E. Kane in the Wall-Custance Memorial Forest, University of Guelph Arboretum. Dedication service, Sunday, September 16, 2018 at 2:30 pm.
